Dr. Tummala is a national expert in Vascular & Interventional Radiology with with 25 years of experience. He completed his peripheral vascular interventional training at the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute in 2000 and a Neuro-radiology/Stroke fellowship at UCLA in 2008. Over the years, he has worked across diverse practice settings, including private practice, academic, and outpatient OBL/ASC settings. In each of these environments, he has been selected to take on leadership roles such as Director of Vascular Disease and Director of Vascular Interventional Radiology.

He has published numerous articles for major journals including Seminars in Interventional Radiology, Techniques in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Seminars in Vascular Surgery, Journal of Clinical Medicine as well as book chapters in Limb Preservation for the Vascular Specialist, Current Techniques in Vascular Surgery, and Paul & Juhl's Essentials of Radiologic Imaging.

He routinely makes media appearances and has successfully organized local and national meetings and given presentations and moderated live cases at national/international meetings including VIVA, International Symposium of Endovascular Therapy (ISET), New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH), Arch Complex Revascularization Symposium, New York Endovascular Summit, International Vein Congress, Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR), SIR LEARN, and Evolution Miami.

Dr. Tummala is dedicated to educating and training our next generation of experts and is very active in the training of medical students, residents, and fellows. He is Vice Chair of the SIR Peripheral Artery Disease CSC and previously the PAD Education Rep for the SIR Education Advisory Council.

Dr. Tummala leads a variety of training courses on vascular disease, advanced limb salvage, and embolization treatments for practicing doctors from all over the United States. Recently he started Dr. Tummala’s Vascular Channel on YouTube to help educate our next generation of experts.

Dr. Tummala is an active member of the Society for Vascular Medicine and SIR with research interests in peripheral arterial disease, chronic limb threatening ischemia, and embolization therapies.
